Perform a variety of duties relative to the care and maintenance of the facility infrastructure and related equipment.
Summary of essential job functions
May perform all of the functions of General Maintenance (see General Maintenance job description)
Perform complex repairs, installations and troubleshooting of facility systems including but not limited to:
Plumbing and heating
Follow all prescribed safety rules and regulations
Keep work area clean and orderly
Performs related duties as assigned by leadership
Requirements for this position may include but are not limited to:
Position typically requires formal certification in a recognized discipline, an accredited apprenticeship in a recognized trade, a two-year technical degree, or advanced knowledge in a prescribed discipline (generally defined as a minimum of 5 years of experience), along with a minimum of 2-3 years of technical experience
Must be able to demonstrate knowledge, capabilities and technical expertise in a professional manner both verbally and in physical demonstration during customer, industry or internal audits. May direct the activities of a trainee and instruct personnel assigned to a specific area
High School diploma or equivalent
The ability to work alone as well as work with a team to support all aspects of facilities related duties when required
Ability to work in a class 10,000 clean room environment
Strong and proficient problem solving skills
Ability to plan, evaluate and reason project designs/concepts that translate to outcome related activities
Ability to read and understand complex written and verbal instructions
Works with minimum supervision
Able to work overtime and support weekend on call rotation
Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization
Ability to lift 40 lbs. and to bend, stoop, climb and kneel.
Ability to perform welding, plumbing and carpentry.
