    JOB SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of a Materials/Production Control  III is to coordinate the receipt, scheduling and/or flow of product starting from raw materials all the way through to its shipment to the external customer. This includes scheduling, expediting, and interfacing with manufacturing and quality departments.


    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:  Performance of the job duties and responsibilities will include, but is not limited to, the following actions:


    • Control the flow of product to assure that manufacturing has the appropriate balance of components (i.e. equal number of inner and outer rings to make a bearing)
    • Make sure machines are scheduled per bearing orders; assure manufacturing adheres to schedules
    • Advise management of issues that can affect the ability to ship product on time such as scrap and flow issues
    • Coordinate with Manufacturing and Quality on R & R and follow up to assure product continues to move through the shop
    • Receive raw materials and perform transactions to account for receipt in MAPICS; store properly according to color code system
    • Issue raw material to manufacturing according to schedule
    • Transfer product from Label Room to Finished Goods
    • Prepare product for shipment using UPS, Fed Ex and other trucking companies
    • Generate packing slips
    • Prioritize orders based on needs and urgency



    High school diploma or equivalent

    2 years of post secondary education in Business Administration or 3 years of Manufacturing experienced required

    Able to work independently in a consistent, accurate, and efficient manner

    Bachelors Degree preferred

    Fluent speaking, reading, and writing in English

    Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without assistance

    Excellent math skills



    May be required to work overtime as needed in order to meet production goals

    Demonstrated strong leadership skills; willingness to act as backup to the Lead, Supervisor or Manager when necessary (including attending production meetings as needed)
