    Occupational Summary: Metrology support to assembly, manufacturing and Gage Room personnel; Equipment development support ;Engineering order processing

    Job Skills:

    Demonstrated proficiency in CAD, Solidworks strongly preferred



    Read, understand and carry out complex written and verbal instructions

    Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing

    Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical drawings & diagrams.

    Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills

    Basic understanding of statistics preferred

    Math skills (geometry, trigonometry, algebra) sufficient to perform requisite testing, troubleshooting and metrology support.

    Possess sufficient flexibility to respond to the changing needs of the organization


    Duties and Responsibilities:

     Process engineering orders for metrology requiring using established tools, guidelines and rulesets to generate tooling and work instructions

    Develop Solidworks™ CAD models for coordinate metrology equipment programmers using established design criteria.

    Provide technical repair, maintenance and support assistance on microinch class metrology and other testing equipment.

    Develop and maintain written & verbal guidelines and work instructions as necessary

    Provide Gage Engineering support as needed for equipment development initiatives, capability testing and complex metrology issues.

    Provide technical support to Gage Maintenance & Calibration as required.

    Perform related duties as assigned.





    A minimum of two years formal technical education.



    Background in manufacturing strongly preferred.

    5 years minimum experience in metrology, machine technology or a related field

    Other Requirements:

    Ability to lift 40 lbs.
